Original Wings & Rings DIFC

This place is a hidden gem in the true sense. Before I got to the restaurant, I had my apprehensions of how this place would be as the place cannot be seen from the outside and the area to get into the building was quiet.

As I got out of the elevator I could hear the music from the restaurant and when I got inside the place the atmosphere was lively and awesome. The vibe of this place is really good and the place was buzzing with people having fun enjoying their food, drinks and games. The concept is great where they want people to come in, relax and catch up with friends and family over games such as the Big Buck and Foosball.

The staff and extremely friendly and helpful and their recommendations on the food is bang on. We were served by Robert who was extremely kind and friendly. The Manager Cristina was also doing the rounds and she came up to give us a quick update on the daily deals and a little background of the place.

It was a Wednesday and the Ladies Night was on with each lady getting 4 drink vouchers. We started the meal with the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and a Grilled Chicken Salad. The quesadilla was a generous portion of soft tortilla stuffed with grilled chicken coated with a great sauce, onions and three cheese mix served with a ranch dressing. You would be wondering why you never came across this place earlier to enjoy such delicious quesadillas. The grilled chicken salad was again a very generous portion of greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions, croutons and mix of three cheese topped with strips of crispy chicken breast. We opted for it with the ranch dressing and enjoyed our salad. The greens and veggies were fresh and the chicken was tender and juicy.

I could not hold back calling for a portion of Nachos Supreme and we also called for a Spinach and Artichoke Dip to balance our diet and eat healthy as well. The nachos were amazing covered with a great tex-mex chilli, tomatoes onions, jalapeños and melted cheddar cheese topped with a good portion of sour cream. The tortila chips in the nachos were fresh and the toppings made them tastier. The spinach and artichoke are baked perfectly with a combination of parmesan and mozzarella cheese and served with amazing pita chips that were melting in the mouth. The dip with the pita were just too good !

It was time then to call for their speciality – the wings. The good thing here is that you get to try 12 different flavours of sauces with fries and then decide which one you want for the wings. We called for a portion of Boneless Wings and another portion of the Traditional wings. This is the first time I came across the concept of boneless wings and trust me a lot of people (including me) who are not great fans of chicken wings will love this. For the Boneless wings we asked for them to be served with sweet chilli and crazy sauce – half and half. For the Traditional wings, we called for it in the Hot and Spicy sauce. The sweet chilli sauce with the boneless wings was my favourite and the crazy sauce did taste a bit weird but a couple of bites into it and you will love it. The Traditional wings also tasted good.

We ended the meal with a Three layered chocolate cheese cake that was creamy and cheesy at the same time. A layer of chocolate with layers of chocolate cheese cake will leave you craving for more.

Go ahead, enjoy the food, unwind and relax at this amazing place that has some great food, great service and an awesome vibe !
