Mitts & Trays

Some restaurants the moment you walk in you know you are going to have a good time, Mitts and Trays is sure one of them. Such a pretty looking place with everything white, looks so pure and lovely. The place is done up really well, they serve some great food and the service is impeccable, now what more can one ask for.

We were served by Bob and Mike who were extremely friendly, suggested the best from the menu and walked up to us from time to time to check if we were enjoying our meal and if we needed anything.

We started the meal with a soup of the day which was the Carrot and Coriander soup, I am not big fan of carrots but this one was supremely fresh and delicious that I almost licked the bowl.. 😀

To drink we called for fresh Orange Juice, It was freshly squeezed and refreshing.

I visited this place with a friend a her little 2 year old. We called for a Mac and Cheese from the kids menu and the little one really enjoyed it. I must say the place is kid friendly too and the staff went out of their way to ensure she was happy and enjoying her meal. Now that is not something you see at restaurants often.

From the Salads we called for a Watermelon & Feta and the Kale and Walnut. Both these salads were extremely fresh, had great flavour and the portions are generous so they are good to share. The Watermelon & Feta was my personal favourite though. I couldn’t stop eating it.

The meal only got better, post the salads we called for the Wagyu Sizzler, It is  Lava grilled Wagyu lollipops on a bed of potato puree, it was pure heaven. Delicious medium size chunks of wagyu cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth.

We ended our main course with M&T Braised Short Ribs, slow cooked short ribs served with house salad and masked potatoes, this was a real treat, meat lovers, CAUTION this one could steal your heart.

For the dessert we called for a Saffron Cheesecake, something very rare, not many places do it. This one was just my kinda dessert, not too sweet, great flavour and texture yet just the amount of sweet a dessert needs to have. I totally loved this one.

We also tried the Naked Victoria, yea thats what it was called, creamy cake topped with berries, it look extremely gorgeous that we couldn’t resist but try it. It tasted great too but the Saffron cheesecake stole my heart.

We ended the meal with some green tea that arrived in some fine piece of crockery. The presentation of every single dish here was extremely impressive and so was the flavour and quality of the food.

I can’t wait to go back and try the other stuff on the menu.. Mitts & Trays, you guys are amazing..
