I have enjoyed food at Tangerine since they first opened at the Bay Avenue. As I am a big fan of Thai cuisine and enjoy the food from this chain, I was excited to visit them when a bloggers meet was organised at their Burjuman branch. With the renovation of Burjuman , this place is becoming a new hub of good eateries.
The restaurant is done up just like their branch at Business bay, the staff are helpful and friendly and the food is great too.
We were served some prawn crackers to start with. The starters followed with some Chicken Satay which were soft and succulent chicken on skewers served with peanut sauce, the Prawn Tempura that was crispy fried prawns served with a sweet sauce and the Ginger fish which is my favourite here, soft on the inside and a bit crispy on the outside served with ginger sauce.
I then had the Tom Yum chicken soup. It is impossible to visit a Thai restaurant and not have the Tom Yum. I’m glad that I wasn’t disappointed with this one.
I called for a Peach Orange Bliss for the drink. It was a blend of peach and fresh orange juice which was refreshing. I would for sure recommend this drink.
For the mains we were served Veg. Thai Green and Red curry with steamed rice. The curries were creamy, flavourful and tasted great with the steamed rice. We were also served the Pad Thai Kung with veggies, the Mie Goring, the Singapore Chilli Prawns and Chicken in Black Bean sauce . The Mie Goreng are Indonesian egg noodles made with shrimps which were amazing. My most favourite was the Singapore Chilli Prawns which are prawns stir fried in red chilli sauce and garnished with garlic, spring onion and broccoli.
For the desserts we had the Brownie with Ice cream and Sticky rice served with mango. The brownie was good but I guess the sticky rice served with mango is the most sought after Thai dessert and these guys have got it well.
We enjoyed our meal. Thank you team Tangerine for having us over. It was a pleasure. Wishing you’ll good luck !
