Fuchsia – Business Bay

My search for a good Thai restaurant in the neighbourhood has come to an end and I couldn’t be more excited about it. This evening I was at Fuchsia for dinner and was absolutely surprised to see such a huge place almost empty. The restaurant is located at the Bay Square which has offices mostly so I am guessing afternoons here must be busy.

The place is done up really well and the staff are extremely friendly. They have detox water that is complimentary and I think its a great initiative. Lime and Mint in one and Orange and Chilli in the other.

We started with Chicken Satay and Papaya Salad which are my all time favs and it wasn’t one bit disappointing. Tender Chicken Satay with the perfect marination served with Peanut sauce and the Papaya Salad had just the right amount of flavour and spice and was extremely fresh. I couldn’t have been happier. We called for a Hibiscus Tea and fresh tender coconut water to drink and both were amazingly refreshing.

We topped up our starters with a Prawn Tempura which tasted fresh, crunchy and great with the sweet chilli sauce.

Now coming to the main course, we called for a grilled Seabass, I requested the staff to have it made with some sauce as it was served with a portion of steamed rice. In no time we had eaten it all up, the flavour of lemon grass with fresh Sea bass was irresistible. We also called for a portion of Cashew Chicken that tasted good too.

For the desserts we called for Sticky Rice with Mango which is a must have at any Thai restaurant and also called for the Chocolate Hazelnut Spring rolls. One can never go wrong with Sticky rice with mango and the Hazelnut spring rolls tasted delicious too, filled with molten hazelnut chocolate served with ice cream. The Ice cream tasted like it was made of coconut milk and it went really well with the spring rolls.

Overall the meal was really good and I was a happy soul with all that delicious food. Jo the restaurant manager was extremely friendly and ensured we enjoyed our meal. Jaque served us and she was extremely helpful too. She also helped us decide our order by suggesting some of their best dishes. I can’t wait to go back and try more stuff from their menu.

Thank you team Fuchsia for having me over !
